About Me

Hi! I’m Hannah.

I found my passion for baking at a young age and began pursuing the idea of a career my freshman year of high school. I bounced around from a few other ideas and eventually ended back where I started: with a love of baking and an entrepreneurial spirit. Needless to say, I’ve been baking ever since.

My personal favorite thing to bake is cake, and there will be a lot of that here, quickly followed by cookies (especially around Christmas). I’m still learning a lot about techniques and decorating so I try to explore something new with each recipe.

So, my dream is to open up a bakery/café with my best friend, Echo. She and I have been in school together since middle school, but became best friends our senior year. We’re both off to study business, now, and will meet up again to study baking and pastry in Seattle, Washington. I love cake and she loves coffee (and cake); it was a match made in heaven!

Outside of baking and school, I’m the youngest of two in a family of four. My brother, Devon, has a passion for History which he is now beginning to pursue. My parents own an insurance agency in town and are the inspiration for my entrepreneurial dream. We have a dog, Lucy, who’s a beagle-hound mix.

She’s a sweetheart, but she causes a lot of trouble, too.

Besides baking, I love to read, write, draw, and drink Chai Tea Lattes with my boyfriend, Gus. He is my greatest support for my bakery dream (it might be because I bake him cake all the time?) and I love him to the ends of the earth. He’ll probably pop up a lot in this blog because his kitchen is much nicer than mine!
